Biography
Born on April 14, 1921 in the village of Skuchikha (now a village in the Knyaginsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region ). Received secondary education. Before World War II, he worked at a factory in Dzerzhinsk .
In 1941 V.I. Renov was drafted into the Red Army. He participated in the hostilities of the Great Patriotic War. He was surrounded and was captured in the area of Boryspil . In the spring of 1942 he escaped from a prisoner of war camp.
In May 1942, he was accepted into the connection of partisan detachments under the command of A. N. Saburov . In October 1942, Renov was appointed platoon commander, and in the spring of 1943 - the company commander, who was part of a large partisan detachment that was transferred to the Kamenetz-Podolsky underground party regional committee.
The company of V.I. Renova conducted reconnaissance in the area of Novograd-Volynsky and carried out the demolition of enemy echelons, bridges and other structures. During the period of combat activity, the Renova unit destroyed 54 echelons with manpower and enemy equipment, eight of which V. I. Renov derailed personally. As a result of the activities of the Renova company, a significant amount of equipment and ammunition was destroyed, more than 800 enemy soldiers were killed and wounded.
In 1944 V.I. Renov became a member of the CPSU .
After the end of World War II, V.I. Renov settled in Zhytomyr . He died on August 28, 1996.
