Distribution
North America : Davis Mountains, Texas , USA .
Systematics
This species was first described in 1957 by the American entomologist AC Cole as part of a separate genus Paramyrmica called Paramyrmica colax Cole . Later, the species was included in the genus Myrmica .
Biology
Found in the anthill of the species Myrmica striolagaster with a similar morphology. Presumably Inquiline .

These ants are listed on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals of the World Conservation Union (IUCN) as Vulnerable D2 (taxa in vulnerability or threatened with extinction).
