Tim Sobakin

Tim Sobakin (real name Andrei Viktorovich Ivanov ; January 2, 1958 , Yellow Waters , USSR ) is a Soviet and Russian children's writer and poet, journalist, editor.

Biography

Tim Sobakin graduated from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute ( 1981 ), worked as a programmer.

In 1985, he changed his profession, becoming a journalist, in 1987 he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University .

Published since 1983. Since 1988, he has been engaged only in literary work, writes poems and stories for children, has been published in the magazines “ Funny Pictures ”, “ Murzilka ”, “ Pioneer ”, “ October ”.

In 1990 - 1995, he was the chief editor of the children's magazine Tram , then the literary editor of the magazines Kolobok, Kucha Mala, Filia, Sinbad.

He is the author of several books published at major publishers of Children's Literature , Bustard and others.

The main creative principle of Sobakin is an intellectual game. The author suggests the reader to change the usual notions of reality, to introduce the world to another [1] .
