Kanevsky, Leonid Semenovich

Leonid Kanevsky was born in Kiev into a Jewish family ^[1] . At the age of 17, he left for Moscow and entered the Schukin School , on the course of Vera Konstantinovna Lvova . Since 1960, he played at the Moscow Lenin Komsomol Theater , directed by Efros . Then he played on the stage of the Moscow Theater on Malaya Bronnaya .

The role of Major Alexander Tomin in the television series “ The Investigation is Known” brought widespread fame to the actor. In 1991, he repatriated to Israel , where, together with the director Eugene Arie, he created the Gesher Drama Theater in Tel Aviv (translated from Hebrew to “ bridge ”); The basis of his troupe is made up of Russian actors who played on the stages of Moscow and Leningrad theaters.
