Morphology
Fruit bodies are small in comparison with other fly agarics.
The cap is semi-egg-shaped, broad-conical or flat, with a very thin furrowed edge, finely fleshy or thicker, with a tubercle. Skin color from pure white, whitish or gray, to brown, brown, reddish or orange, with a shiny smooth surface, dry or mucous .
The flesh is thin and brittle, white, does not change at the cut, weak coloring is rarely observed near the edges of the cap.
The leg is cylindrical, hollow or made, brittle, smooth, or with a pattern of thin scales, flaky, or bare, expanded below, but usually without swelling at the base, characteristic of other fly agarics, can be easily separated from the cap. The color of the legs is white, grayish or the same as the hat.
The plates are free, frequent, white, sometimes slightly grayish or pinkish or with a painted edge. In the middle, the plates expand, there are plates.
The remains of the bedspread . Volvo is well developed, leathery, saccular, broad, free, deeply submerged in the soil, sometimes disappears with age. There is no ring on the stem; there may be (relatively rare) filmy or warty flakes on the surface of the cap, which can easily be separated from the skin.
Spore powder is whitish.
Microscopic signs :
The spores are round, often spherical, smooth, colorless, always non-amyloid . Four-basidia , rarely dorsal. Buckles on gifs may or may not be present. Tram plate bilateral.
Ecology
Mycorrhizal fungi, found in various types of forests, are known on all continents except Antarctica.
Practical Importance
Species known to mushroom pickers are conditionally edible , have good taste, but are rarely collected due to a fragile hat, unsuitable for transportation and processing, and also because of the dangerous similarity with poisonous fly agarics.
