Story
More and more flying saucers begin to appear over Hollywood . However, the US government denies this fact in every way and even tries to fight them by launching missiles. The colonel, who led the rocket fire, learns from the general about a dozen alien messages, the last of which was received about a month ago. The general gives the colonel to listen to the decrypted message. It says that the aliens came in peace and intend to proceed with the forcible disarmament of earthlings for the good of the universe; if people persist, the aliens will be forced to destroy the Earth. The colonel is tasked with dealing with the aliens. The aliens decide that the earthlings are too stupid and may well cause great harm to the galactic community, as a result of which they begin to implement their plan, code-named "Plan 9". Two aliens plant a flying saucer on the ground and revive the three dead, introducing chips into their brain. Colonel, police lieutenant and civilian pilot find a UFO, get inside and meet the aliens. The aliens are trying to explain to people that after the invention of explosives, atomic and hydrogen bombs, mankind has only one step left before the invention of the Solorunaite process - the process of the explosion of sunlight. This process can lead to the explosion of the Sun and all the planets illuminated by it. The aliens are convinced that the stupidity of people will lead to disaster. A fight ensues, as a result of which a fire begins; people leave the UFO; A UFO takes off and explodes in the air.

Filming
The film was shot from August 11 to September 5, 1956. Due to the lack of their money to shoot the film, they were allocated by the Southern Baptist Convention , in which the film crew had to go through the baptismal rite, and in the film, under the condition of allocating money, one of the church members appeared. [3] When filming the film, the cockpit was filmed as follows: the pilots were sitting on country chairs, and behind them hung a curtain from the shower. The flying saucers over the Hollywood model are cheap toy models bought at a children's store.
Bela Lugosi died when about 10 minutes of the film was shot, which is why Ed Wood used archival footage of Lugosi in Dracula's cloak. Lugosi's understudy named Tom Mason, who was supposed to portray a famous actor, was also introduced into the film. A coffin was used in the film, which was at home with Wood’s friend, Amazing Chriswell , who claimed to be sleeping in this coffin. The coffin was also featured in Wood’s films Orgy of the Dead , Ghost Nights , and the pornographic Necromania ".
