Biography
Born in the village of Bryukhovetskaya, Krasnodar Territory, into a pious Christian family. Baptized in infancy, in the Holy Protection Church of the village of Bryukhovetskaya.
From 1976 to 1985 he studied in high school.
In 1985 he entered the Yeisk Medical School , from which he was subsequently expelled for visiting the temple. He returned to secondary school, which he graduated in 1986.
Since 1986, he has been carrying out choral obedience in the church in the name of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the city of Syktyvkar , where he moved after graduating from high school.
From 1987 to 1989 he served in the Soviet Army . After completing military service, he moved to the city of Krasnodar .
On August 28, 1989, the archbishop of Krasnodar and Novorossiysk Isidore was ordained a deacon and appointed full-time deacon of the St. Catherine’s Cathedral of Krasnodar .
On December 19, 1989, Archbishop Isidore was tonsured a monk with the name Tikhon in honor of St. Tikhon, Patriarch of All Russia .
On June 4, 1990, he was ordained a hieromonk and was appointed a full-time priest of the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Krasnodar.
From 1990 to 1997 he served in various parishes of the diocese.
At the request of the bishop of Syktyvkar and Vorkuta Pitirim (Volochkova) in 1997 he transferred to the clergy of the Syktyvkar diocese . From 1997 to 1998, he obeyed the governor of the Trinity-Stefano-Ulyanovsk Monastery , as well as the vice-rector of the Syktyvkar Theological College .
In 1997 he entered the correspondence education sector of the Kiev Theological Seminary , which he graduated in 2001.
In 1998, he was accepted into the clergy of the Krasnodar diocese and was appointed rector of the Holy Kazan Church of the Baranikovsky farm.
Since 1999, a full-time priest of the St. Catherine’s Cathedral of Krasnodar.
In 2001, he was concurrently appointed rector of the Church of St. Elijah of Muromets under construction in Krasnodar.
From 2001 to 2004 he studied at the Kiev Theological Academy .
In 2003, he was concurrently appointed rector of the Holy Assumption Church under the diocesan administration.
In January 2004, he was appointed key-keeper of the St. Catherine Cathedral of Krasnodar.
In 1997, His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II was awarded a pectoral cross, in 2001 he was awarded the rank of hegumen .
On December 24, 2004, by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, he was determined to be bishop of Yeisk , vicar of the Ekaterinodar diocese [1] .
December 30, 2004 elevated to the rank of archimandrite .
On March 25, 2005, in the cross church in the name of All Saints, the patriarch and Synodal residence of the Holy Danilov Monastery shone in the land of Russia, Patriarch Alexy II, in the service of the Council of Archpastors, performed the rite of the appointment of Archimandrite Tikhon to the Bishop of Yeisk , Vicar of the Ekaterinodar Eparchy [2] .
On April 3, 2005, during the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral Church of Christ the Savior, he was ordained bishop of Yeisk, vicar of the Yekaterinodar diocese. The consecration was performed by: Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II , Metropolitan of Krutitsky and Kolomensky Yuvenaly (Poyarkov) , Metropolitan of Kaluga and Borovsky Clement (Kapalin) , Metropolitan of Yekaterinodar and Kuban Isidore, Archbishop of Istra Arseny (Epiphanes of Kempius , Archbishop of Kempius and Archbishop of Kempius) Evgeny (Reshetnikov) , Archbishop of Orekhovo-Zuevsky Alexy (Frolov) , Bishop of Krasnogorsk Savva (Volkov) , Bishop of Syktyvkar and Vorkuta Pitirim (Volochkov) , Bishop of Stavropol and Vladikavkaz Feofan (Ashurkov) , Bishop of Dmitrovsky Alexander (Agrikov) , Bishop of Sergiev Posad Theognost (Guzikov) , Bishop of Lyubertsy Benjamin (Zaritsky) , Bishop of Alatyr Savvaty, Bishop of Prokopyevsky Amvrosiy (Ermakov) [3]
On May 27, 2009 by the decision of the Holy Synod he was appointed bishop of Maykop and Adygea [4] .
November 20, 2016 at the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, during the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Patriarch Kirill “for the diligent service of the Church of God in the Maykop diocese” he was elevated to the rank of archbishop [5] .
