Content
Club career
He began his career at the age of 17 in Zvezda . In 1990 he became a player of Dnipro . In 2001, he moved to Dynamo Kyiv , and also performed at his farm clubs Dynamo-2 and Dynamo-3 . After Dynamo, during 2001-2002 he played for the Israeli clubs Hapoel (Tel Aviv) and Beitar (Jerusalem) . After Israel, he returned to Ukraine, where from 2002 to 2007 he played for his native Dnipro and Zaporozhye Metallurg . In 2007, he went abroad again, where he played for the Cyprus APOP for two years, after which he ended his career as a player.
Team Career
He played 23 matches for the Ukrainian team , scored 2 goals. Debut on April 27, 1993 in a friendly match with the Israeli team (1: 1).
Coaching career
In 2009, Mikhailenko began his coaching career. His first job was the Dnipro youth team. With this team he became the bronze medalist of the youth championship of Ukraine ( 2010/11 , 2013/14 , 2015/16 ). In the 2014/15 season, he became the champion.
In the summer of 2016, Miron Markevich resigned from his post as head coach of Dnipro. Dmitry Mikhailenko [1] was appointed his successor to the post of acting head coach. With Dnipro, he took 11th place in the championship of Ukraine from 12 teams and reached the semifinals of the Cup of Ukraine , where he lost to Donetsk Shakhtar 1-0.
In the summer off-season of 2017 he headed the Dnepr-1 [2] .

The younger brother of the football player Alexander Mikhailenko .
