This phone is a demonstration of the capabilities of nanotechnology as the creation of tensile materials, transparent electronics and self-cleaning surfaces for mobile devices [1] . Using nanotechnology, the phone is able to take the mobile phone industry to a new level and meet new user needs [2] .

Dr. Tapani Rihanen, head of the Cambridge research laboratory in the UK , commented: “We hope that this combination of art and science will demonstrate the potential of nanoscience for a wide audience. The technologies that we develop can become new opportunities in one day in terms of design and functionality of mobile devices. ”

Nokia Morph elements can be available for integration into portable devices for 7 years (countdown - from 2008). Initially, it is planned to sell these devices at a high price, but nanotechnology can make the mass production of these devices very cheap and lead to a significant reduction in their cost in retail.
