Order history
Established by the definition of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II and the Holy Synod of March 25, 2004 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the canonization of St. Seraphim of Sarov .

Order Description
I degree
The badge of the order is a gilded brass four-pointed cross with flared ends and a wedge-shaped finish, covered with green enamel. Along the edges of the cross - a narrow convex welt. On the face of the mark in the center there is a round medallion , made in the technique of “Rostov enamel”, with a bosom image of St. Rev. Seraphim of Sarov in a ryos with a stole . Around the medallion is a convex belt decorated with 37 cubic zirconias . Another belt, covered with green enamel, is located between the cross-beams of the cross and 5 relief polished beams adjoin it.

Badge of the Order is similar to I degree. But the central image of the monk is made by stamping and gilded, cubic zirconia is not used.
III
The badge of the order is similar to the II degree, but is made of silver-plated brass.
Wearing rules
The order is worn on the left side of the chest, and in the presence of other orders of the Russian Orthodox Church is located after the Order of St. Sergius of Radonezh .
