Sinusotomy

Maxillary sinusotomy ( novolat. Highmorotomia ; maxillary sinus (from Latin sinus Highmori - maxillary sinus ) + other Greek. Τομή - incision, dissection) - a surgical operation to open the maxillary (maxillary) sinus with subsequent removal of its pathological contents.

It is used for cyst-like formations of the upper jaw, for chronic polypous and polypous-purulent sinusitis , for odontic sinusitis , for expanded access to the nasal cavity and nasopharynx when removing tumors, etc.
