Story

The film consists of three parts. The storyline is based on the investigation by the retiring policeman Johnny Walker of the murder of his partner. But in the course of the investigation, it turns out that this murder is one of many in the series of murders, and it also turns out that the killer chooses the murder tools in the Russian alphabet.

In the first two parts, the plot of the film “ Seven ” is used as the basis, in the third - the plot of the novel “ Ten Little Indians ”.

Part 1 (Once Upon a Time in America)

USA, the city of New-Urok (New Lesson). Detective Johnny Walker celebrates the birthday of his friend Napar Nick. But police officers Ramirez and Monica will soon find out that Napar Nick has disappeared; his search began. He is found dead on the far side of the park with a watermelon on his head.

After Nick’s funeral, they send a new partner - a younger, inexperienced and zealous Bret Pidd (a hint of Brad Pitt ).

Johnny finds evidence at the scene of Napar Nick’s murder - a feather down, which will subsequently be located at the sites of all the killings. Soon there are three more killings: victims are killed with a chainsaw, bagpipe and rake. And after three more murders (tree, spruce and Christmas tree), Johnny realizes that the murder instruments follow the letters of the Russian alphabet, which he remembers thanks to his grandmother (as a child, she often read it to him at night). At that moment, FBI agents Mulda and Scanner appear (a hint of Mulder and Scully ) and try to take Johnny's case to themselves, but nothing comes of it.

After three more murders, Johnny and Bret try to grab the killer in an abandoned iodine factory, but they don’t keep up with him and miss him, and this chase almost cost Johnny his life, and the next victim of the Feathered Maniac dies. A series of killings continues.

Part 2 (“The Old Men Are Not A Place”)

Soon, among the suspects is the mysterious abbess mother Snezhana, who, before leaving for the monastery, slept with 33 people (saved up for her first porn film). She confesses that she does not remember the name of the 33rd person, but he is the father of her nun’s daughter. Johnny realizes that this is his daughter ... But again, the restless and impolite Mulda and Scanner appear and arrest Snezhana.

Johnny retires, retires from the police and starts drinking at the Dismissed Cops Bar. Bret comes to reassure Johnny, but in the end Johnny almost kills him when he gets drunk.

Part 3 (“Nobody Wanted to Die”)

Johnny decides to invite all the surviving people who slept with Snezhana, on the pretext that they are all supposedly distant relatives and heirs of the millionaire Sandor Rakotsitsik. Accordingly, Johnny himself is the 33rd, and he too can be killed. Among Snezhana's lovers were a military man, a magician, a fan, a farmer and his son, a rastaman, a taxi driver of eastern origin, a bespectacled nerd, an athlete, and a doctor.

Murders occur again: the rastaman died first. The military man leads the rest, decides that the killer is Johnny, and binds him. Then Johnny tells what is really happening. Each of Snezhana's former lovers recognized her, and each dies over time. It becomes clear that the one who stays with the detective is the killer.

The result is Doctor and Johnny. Shouting at each other, “ So it's you! "They fight, but soon the doctor dies.

Johnny finds out that the killer is a pizza delivery man. He kills Johnny with a knife and tells him that there are no clues, riddles and tricks - he is a simple Russian maniac who hates Americans , feather feathers at the murder places are feathers from a hole in his down jacket, and that all the weapons of his murders are the order of the Russian alphabet, he did not even guess. Suddenly Bret Pidd appears and kills the maniac. He learns everything from Johnny and he dies in his arms.

Epilogue

A year later, Bret Pidd (no longer a beginner, but an experienced policeman) comes to Johnny’s grave with his whole family (including his daughter Johnny, whom he asked Bret to bring up before his death). Having lit one “male” cigarette, Bret recalled how he and Johnny once sat by the window and talked heart to heart. After nostalgia, Bret leaves the last cigarette in a pack on Johnny's gravestone, shoots two vultures on a tree, shows his middle finger to a yelling Russian peasant from the balcony and leaves back to the city with his family.

Then, during the titles based on 3D-graphics, the maniac’s victims, led by Johnny, crawl out of the graves and dance to the remix version of Vladimir Shainsky ’s song “ABVGDyke” edited by DJ Paul Oakenfold .
