History
Musical pop group "Syabry" was created in 1972 at the Gomel Philharmonic. Officially, the year of formation is 1974 [1] , the name of the ensemble appeared in 1973 [1] . In the summer of 1975, the leadership of the team was proposed to Valentin Badyarov [2] . He took over the leadership of the collective in 1976, and soon the musical group “Syabry” received the status of a vocal and instrumental ensemble [2] and was replenished by musician Nikolai Podgorny from Leningrad and soloist tenor Vitaly Chervonny from Odessa [3] .
In 1977, VIA "Syabry" became the laureate of the All-Union Competition of Soviet Songs dedicated to the 60th anniversary of October with the song "Anthem to the Earth" by Alexandra Pakhmutova . In 1978, first came out a mini-album " Kasia " of three songs, and then the first full-length album of the group - " Everyone on the Planet ".
In the same year, the composer from Barnaul Oleg Ivanov wrote the song “Girl from Polesie”, which later becomes known as “Alesya”. Initially, the composer proposed this song for the Pesnyary ensemble, but Olga Molchanova, the music editor of the television, convinced the composer to propose the song “Ales” to Valentin Badyarov for the ensemble “Syabry”, since Pesnyary already had the song of the composer Igor Luchenka of the same name [2] [4] . In his arrangement, the song soon appeared in the repertoire of Syabrov. Its premiere took place for the first time in 1978 on Central Television in the program “The wider circle”, and then on the Television contest “With a song through life”, at which the ensemble was awarded the title of “Laureate”. These performances brought the All-Union fame and enduring popularity of VIA “Syabry”. The ensemble becomes a frequent guest of various radio and television broadcasts [5] [6] [7] [8] . A musical film about “Syabry” - “ You Are One Love ” was shot by Belgostelevision.
In 1981, Anatoly Yarmolenko replaced Valentin Badyarov as the artistic director of the team [2] . Badyarov was suspended from work, along with him the musician Anatoly Gordienok, the soloist Vladimir Shalko, and then Cherkasov, Zhilyak, Khilovets, Avdevich, Sinegribov, Kolyada, Chervonny, Balabanov and several other musicians were dismissed [2] .
In 1981, the team with the song "Alesya" reached the final of the festival "Song-81" [9] .
Another popularly known work of the group was the song “You make noise, birches!”, Which the Belarusian composer Eduard Hanok composed in 1983 . The words of the song were written in 1954 by the Belarusian poet Nil Gilevich [10] .
From 1990 to 2002, the well-known Soviet and Belarusian film actor Vladimir Stankevich acted as an entertainer in the ensemble “Syabry” .
