Biography
Nikolai Ivanovich was born on July 24, 1903 in the village of Novoromanovskaya, Tikhoretsky District, Krasnodar Territory, in a Cossack family. Up to 22 years old, he was a peasant in his native village. In 1920 he graduated from high school ten and then entered Rabfak (a type of secondary school established in the 20s) in the city of Krasnodar. After which he was sent to continue his studies in Moscow in the Timiryazev Agricultural Academy at the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization. During this period, the country badly needed military engineers, and Nikolai Ivanovich, as the most successful student, was transferred to the military-industrial faculty of the Moscow Mechanical Institute named after MV Lomonosov, from which he graduated in 1932.
After graduation, Nikolai Ivanovich worked for 54 years at NAMI, where he passed all engineering positions from an ordinary engineer-designer to the head of the department of the Chief Designer for high-traffic cars. In 1947 he defended his thesis no later than 1973. He became a doctor of technical sciences. He wrote two monographs devoted to the design of high-traffic vehicles and published a number of scientific articles on this topic. In recent years, he worked at NAMI and was engaged in the development of a promising type of army vehicles of high traffic.
