Story
In order to take away from girls a device that supposedly predicts the future, children force Butters to fake their own death and get to Heidi’s hen party as a new girl, Marjorin. Butters' parents are very sad about the death of their son, Linda Stotch is constantly crying over the Butters photo, and his father decides to re-bury his son in the Indian cemetery. Butters manage to steal the "device" (a primitive paper toy for fortune telling), but the boys hesitate to take responsibility and destroy it. When Butters returns home, his parents decide that he is a monster who has risen from the grave, and in the final of the episode they lock him up in the basement, trying to feed him with human flesh.
Interesting Facts
- Leslie Huer, one of the animators of the series, called Marjourine one of his favorite episodes [1] .
- An old auto mechanic coming to Steven Stotch , talking about the danger of his son being reburied in an old Indian cemetery, is an obvious reference to Stephen King 's Pet Animal Cemetery , where Jude Crandall also discourages Louis Creed from re-burial his son, thereby pushing him to do the opposite [2] .
- The father tries to feed Butters with the corpse of the invited woman just as Julia fed her lover in the movie “ Hellraiser ” (1987).
- At the bachelorette party, Butters dances to the song " Rock Your Body " by Justin Timberlake .
- When Cartman tells Batters about a bachelorette party, he says, “If they start to frolic, play along!”, And he holds two spread fingers to his mouth. Usually such a gesture is used to refer to cunnilingus .
- The names "Butters" and "Marjorin" - a pun (" butter " and " margarine ", respectively).
- At Heidi at home you can see a poster with Twerpz dolls (a parody of Bratz ). Twerp translates to "Idiot."
- In the room of the girl with whom the hen party is taking place, a poster with the inscription “I. t. ”, which is perhaps another reference to Stephen King.
