Biography
In the cinema since 1947 . As an actor, he starred in almost forty films. The directorial debut took place in 1957 (film Absolutamente Certo ). Duarte's second directorial work - the film " Vow Artist " ( 1962 ) - became his most famous film and brought the director prizes at three international festivals , including Golden Palm Branch in Cannes , as well as an Oscar nomination for best foreign language film .
In addition, Duarte is known as the screenwriter of several films by other directors and producer.
Anselmu Duarte died of complications after a stroke in November 2009 . [one]
