Santi (Russian designation: s ; international: c ) is one of the prefixes used in the International System of Units (SI) for the formation of names and designations of decimal fractional units [1] [2] . The unit whose name is formed by attaching the Santi prefix to the name of the original unit is obtained by multiplying the original unit by 10 −2 . In other words, the newly formed unit is equal to one hundredth of the original unit.
As a prefix, SI was adopted by the XI General Conference on Weights and Measures in 1960 [3] . The name comes from the Latin centum - one hundred .
In Russian, it is usually used to denote a hundredth of a meter - a centimeter .
