Maxim Vyacheslavovich Samosvat (born June 15, 1981 , Moscow ) is a Russian rock musician, sound producer, and sound engineer. Best known as the vocalist of the Mechanical Poet (from 2003 to 2006 ) and The Epidemic (from 2000 to 2010 ).

Biography
Maxim Samosvat was born on June 15, 1981 in Moscow.
The first group of Grab was Orcrist, in which future musicians of the Epidemic also played Ilya Knyazev and Roman Zakharov. At the beginning of his career, Maxim performed with the groups “Lady Prowler” (1997-1998), “Aliens”, “Travel to the Night”.
In 2000, he was accepted by the vocalist into the Russian power metal group Epidemic, where he replaced Pavel Okunev (now Arda ). The first work of Grab with the group was the album " The Enigma of the Magic Country ", released in 2001 .
In 2004, the group, in collaboration with other well-known Russian vocalists - Arthur Berkut (Ex “ Aria ”), Lexx (“ Master ”), Andrey Lobashev ( Arida Vortex ), Kirill Nemolyaev (“ Boni NEM ”), Dmitry Borisenkov ( " Black Obelisk "), records the first Russian metal opera " Elven Manuscript ", where Maxim played the role of the main character - half-elf Desmond.
In 2005, the Epidemic released its fifth numbered album, dubbed Life in Twilight . The disc contained the rewriting of songs from the first albums, the album's tracklist was determined by fans via the Internet .
In 2006, Samosvat took part in the recording of the album of the Master group - “ On the Other Side of the Dream ” within the Margenta project on poems by Margarita Pushkina. Maxim performed the song “Beyond the Boundary”. Grab also participated in the recording of Everlost 's Noise Factory and Hatecraft's Lost Consolation albums.
In 2007, the continuation of the “Elven Manuscript” - “ Elven Manuscript: A Legend for All Times ” was published, in which Mikhail Seryshev (ex- “Master”) and Konstantin were added to Berkut, Lobashev, Borisenkov and Nemolyaev already involved in the first part of the metal opera. Rumyantsev (“The Troll Bends Spruce ”), Ekaterina Belobrova (The Teachers), Evgeny Egorov (“ex- Colosseum , Epidemic ”). In this metal opera, Maxim again performed the part of Desmond.
Maxim was also the vocalist of the progressive rock band Mechanical Poet . With his participation, two albums were recorded: “ Handmade Essence ” in 2003 and “ Woodland Prattlers ” in 2004. In 2005, Maxim was invited to participate in the reunion of Mechanical Poet, but preferred the “Epidemic”. Jerry Lenin took his place in the Mechanical Poet.
October 25, 2010 Maxim announced his departure from the "Epidemic". The last performances with the group took place on December 10 in St. Petersburg and on December 11, 2010 in Moscow.
From 2005 to 2014, he was a sound engineer and manager at Dreamport Studios. Since 2014 he has been working at the Meat Factory studio (Moscow). As a sound engineer and producer, he worked with groups: Everlost, Olvi, Blonde Ksyu, Naiv, Epidemic, Kruger, Gleb Samoiloff & The Matrixx , Lomonosov Plan, Radio Chacha, Inexist, Louna, Southwake, Nerves, Yar Hops, Noize MC, INOVA, MyRockB , Grizzly Knows No Remorse et al.
In 2012, he participated in the recording of the song “Smoke” from the album “My World” by the group “Black Obelisk” [1] .
In 2013, he joined the new musical project of Kirill Nemolyaev Forces United [1] , which also involved Yarkko Ahola , Konstantin Seleznev , Dariya Stavrovich , Andrei Lobashev, Peter Elfimov , Evgeny Egorov , Arthur Berkut , Sergey Mazaev , Alexey Belov and several other famous musicians [2] . Songs featuring Grab were released on the first two Forces United mini-albums, released by Metalism Records, as well as on the flexible album “Force Forces United” [3] .
In 2014, he became a co-author of music and producer of the album Konstantin Maksimyuk “Where is my summer?” [2]
April 30, 2015 it became known that Maxim as a vocalist began his collaboration with the group SUNBURST [3]
