Alexander Andreyevich Ivakhneanko ( Ukrainian Oleksandr Andriyovich Ivakhnenko ; September 8, 1931 , Staropetrovka , Berdyansk District , Ukrainian SSR - December 8, 2003 , Kiev , Ukraine [1] ) - Soviet and Ukrainian artist , Honored Artist of Ukraine , Associate Professor of the Painting Department of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts , a member of the artistic council of the Ministry of Communications of Ukraine. He was the chief art consultant for the issue of commemorative coins under the National Bank of Ukraine , the author of the first postage stamps of independent Ukraine .

Biography

Alexander was born on September 8, 1931 in the village of Staropetrovka (now Berdyansk district, Zaporozhye region ). Alexander's parents, Andrei Ivakhnenko and Alexandra Golovchenko, came from large families, worked as farm laborers, after collectivization they worked on the collective farm. Alexander's mother beautifully painted, embroidered, sang. Her high spirituality very well affected the development of children. Already at the age of five, the future artist read and painted freely. By the beginning of World War II, Alexander graduated with a commendable diploma in two classes of school.

During the war, Alexander with his mother, brother and sister lived for two years in an occupied village. A. Ivakhnenko independently studied in school textbooks European literature , history of the world , and astronomy . For one and a half years he worked in the vineyards . Studying in the eighth grade, Alexander Ivakhnenko began to write stories, tales that were not preserved. In 1944, the Ivakhnenko family moved to Berdyansk .

Studying in the tenth grade, A. Ivakhnenko began active preparations for entering the art institute. He painted from life, in the Art Museum named after I. Brodsky copied fragments of paintings. In 1949, he entered the Lviv State Institute of Art, Decorative and Applied Arts at the Faculty of Ceramics . About a year A. Ivakhnenko studied with the professor of sculpture Sivera. However, the desire to painting outweighed, and he, leaving the institute, entered the Dnipropetrovsk State Art School in the second year of the painting department. Soon, Alexander was called up for military service. Until 1954, he served in the liaison forces , and then returned to school.

After graduating from school, Alexander Ivakhnenko worked in the Poltava Regional House of Folk Art as a senior methodologist in fine arts. There he opened a three-year art studio for the history of art, anatomy , drawing and painting and composition, for which he himself compiled a program. Graduates of his studio M. Usik, V. Garbuz and V. Sheremet received the title of Honored Masters of Folk Art; V. Baturin, V. Mozok and Z. Khristich were awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine.

In 1960, A. A. Ivakhnenko entered the Kharkov Art Institute at the Faculty of Painting, where his teachers in the specialty were and A. Constantinople . He graduated from the institute in 1966 .

In 1992, Alexander Andreevich Ivakhnenko was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. In 1993, he became an assistant professor in the painting department of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts . He taught watercolor painting at the department of painting, was a professor at the department of painting and composition, served as deputy head of the department and secretary of state examination boards.

Alexander Andreevich Ivakhnenko was a member of the artistic council of the Ministry of Communications of Ukraine, the main art consultant for the production of commemorative coins under the National Bank of Ukraine, and the chairman of the artistic jury of art schools in Kiev.

Alexander Ivakhnenko died on December 8, 2003 .

Family

Wife - Lyudmila Poshivanik, artist books. Son Andrei is a master of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, and her daughter is a student of the National Music Academy named after PI Tchaikovsky [2] .

A. Ivakhnenko worked in the techniques of easel and monumental painting , watercolors, pen drawing and graphics : etching , lithography , pastels , gouaches , tempera , graphic design and so on. He performed landscape compositions, worked in the design of books, painted portraits of T. Shevchenko , Lesia Ukrainka , A. Pushkin .

The diploma work of A. Ivakhnenko "Sokolovtsy" (oil on canvas, 2 × 2 m), made in 1966, was taken to the Sokolovo village of the Zmievsky district of the Kharkiv region to the museum of Czechoslovak-Soviet friendship. As a student, he performed book graphics for the Kharkiv publishing house Prapor, was a member of the artistic council of the publishing house Prapor. After graduation he worked in the monumental workshop of an art factory, where he created two panels in the technique of ceramic mosaics - “Reshetilovskaya embroiderers” and “Reshetilovskie carpet-cutting”.

In 1967, Alexander Andreevich was sent to Kiev to the Exhibition of Best Practices of the National Economy. There he worked as a leading artist, performing various projects and panels. Seven years later, A. Ivakhnenko moved to teaching at the Kiev State Art and Industrial College , where he taught drawing and painting for nine years. In 1978 he became a member of the Union of Artists. In the same year, he made many watercolors of works by T. Shevchenko, A. Pushkin, Lesia Ukrainka, etchings. For the design of the collection of A. Mitskevich "Crimean sonnets", published in three languages ​​by the publishing house "Tavria", in 1976 was awarded the Republican diploma of I degree.

In May 1991, Alexander Andreevich participated in the requiem campaign on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the reburial of Taras Shevchenko "The Last Way of the Kobzar". In this campaign, he made a lot of drawings, which he donated to the in Kanev . The exhibition of these paintings was held in 1992 in the Republican House of Artists. In 1996, exhibitions of paintings dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the reburial of T. Shevchenko and the fifth anniversary of the independence of Ukraine were held at the House of Writers in Kiev and at the T. Shevchenko Museum in Kanev .

A large exhibition of works by Alexander Ivakhnenko was held in 2001 at the Kaniv National Memorial Museum of Taras Shevchenko and at the National Museum of Taras Shevchenko in Kiev under the motto: “Ukraine girded with the Cossack belt of the Dnieper”. Alexander Andreevich Ivakhnenko participated in various art exhibitions, including abroad.

On the recommendation of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine A. Ivakhnenko took part in the competition for the creation of the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise five degrees and became the winner. He worked on the development of the order in collaboration with V. Shvetsov, the portrait of Yaroslav the Wise, Alexander Ivakhnenko, was made according to his own iconography .

In 1997, Alexander Ivakhnenko worked in the team of authors on the draft of the Great State Emblem of Ukraine , which was never approved by the Verkhovna Rada .

A. A. Ivakhnenko is the author of the first postage stamps of Ukraine. On July 16, 1990, the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian SSR adopted the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine. Alexander Ivakhnenko received an order from the Ministry of Communications of the Ukrainian SSR for the production of a postage stamp dedicated to this event. He proposed several sketches that were discussed at the Ministry of Communications of the Ukrainian SSR and the Supreme Soviet of the Republic. At one of the first options, the girl symbolizing Ukraine was wearing a shirt - a tunic and barefoot. She was offered “shod” in boots and instead of a red skirt “put on” a floe . A blue ribbon was added to the wreath, due to which the blue background of the brand was changed to golden. The inscription on the stamp was: “Mail of the Ukrainian SSR” , however, when preparing the drawing for printing, it was changed to the traditional one - “Mail of the USSR” . [3] The brand was issued on July 10, 1991 .

March 1, 1992 came out first, after the proclamation of independence, the brand of Ukraine. They were dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Ukrainian Cossacks and the 100th anniversary of the first settlement of Ukrainians in Canada . The author of these brands was also Alexander Ivakhnenko. Of the twelve thousand brands submitted to the competition from around the world, the brand “XXV Olympic Games in Barcelona” created by A. A. Ivakhnenko was among the 12 best works dedicated to the Olympic Games .

For the National Bank of Ukraine, Alexander Andreevich produced sketches of a number of commemorative coins of Ukraine: “50 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945” (the first coin issued by the National Bank of Ukraine on May 7, 1995 ), Independence, Sofia Kievskaya, Kievo -Pechersk Lavra ", the series" Heroes of the Cossack era "and many other works of monetary and medal art.
