Content
History
The club was created in 1981 on the basis of the Krasnoyarsk Polytechnic Institute , respectively, received the name "Polytechnic". In Soviet times, the team played in the lower leagues, the only big achievement at that time was considered to be the victory in the 1988 USSR Cup for the teams of Siberia and the Far East. After the collapse of the USSR, the Krasnoyarsk team did not receive dividends and remained in the lower leagues of the Russian basketball championship. In the 1996/1997 season, the team won the right to play in the strongest league of Russia Super League A , but did not last long there, having flown to Super League B. In 2007, the club won the championship in Super League B and regained the right to play in the Russian basketball elite.
In the 2009/2010 season, the club made its debut in the European arena, taking part in the Challenge Cup and reaching the second stage. In the 2010/2011 season , Yenisei lost in the sum of two matches in the qualification round of the FIBA Challenge Cup to Nizhny Novgorod .

In the 2014/2015 season, the club reached the quarterfinals of the FIBA Challenge Cup, where they lost to the German Frankfurt .
In the 2015/2016 season, the club reached the semi-finals of the FIBA Europe Cup, where they will meet again with the German Frankfurt .
