In 1943 , during the battles on the Kursk Bulge , near the village, the famous tank battle took place [3] .

Economics
In the village there is an agricultural enterprise "Breeder" for cattle fattening (AOZT "Prelestnoe" [5] ) and dairy production [6] .
Infrastructure
Secondary school (in 2004, 195 students studied [7] ), a kindergarten "Ray" and a rural library .
Monuments
In the village of Prelestnoe and in the nearby village of Storozhevoye there are mass graves of the Great Patriotic War - the largest burials of Soviet soldiers of the Prokhorovskoye Pole State Military History Museum-Reserve [8]
