The 8th National Championship of Armenia in 1999 is the tournament of the Armenian Premier League , in which 10 clubs took part. “Shirak” (Gyumri) became the champion of Armenia for the 3rd time.
- Since this season, the tournament has changed its name from the Premier League to the Premier League.
- Erebuni-ACC (Yerevan) is renamed to Erebuni (Yerevan).
- Pyunik (Yerevan) was renamed to Cilicia (Yerevan).
- Zvartnots (Yerevan) is renamed to Zvartnots -AAL (Yerevan).
- “Shirak” -2 (Gyumri) was renamed to FC “Gyumri”.
- CSKA- “Karabakh” (Yerevan), after 15 matches held, withdrew from the championship due to financial problems. The results of these matches were canceled.
- “Dvin” (Artashat) and FC “Gyumri” went directly to the First League , after the transitional match - “Cilicia” (Yerevan).
- Dynamo (Yerevan) went directly to the Premier League from the First, after the transitional match - Mika-Kasakh (Ashtarak).
