Azure breeds ( Latin Cyanistes ) - a genus of birds from the family of titmouse ( Paridae ). The genus covers only two universally recognized species - the Blue Tit and the prince . Some scholars also include the yew tit and the white-faced tit. For a long time, species of this genus were assigned to the genus of titmouses ( Parus ), only from the beginning of the 21st century azores are considered as an independent genus. Small birds of this genus live in the temperate latitudes of Europe and Asia , as well as in northern Africa .

In the western part of the range, where the common blue tit is common along with the common , hybrid cases between the two species are common. The offspring has intermediate characteristics and is called the Pleske Blue Tit - Cyanistes × pleskei . At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, hybrid individuals were mistakenly considered as an independent species.
