Mikel Laboa ( June 15, 1934 , Pasajes - December 1, 2008 , San Sebastian [1] ) was one of the most significant songwriters and singers of the Basque Country .

He was considered the patriarch of Basque music, his music had an influence on the younger generations. Almost all of his songs were sung in Basque . His albums Bat-Hiru (One-Two) and Ursuako Kantak became hits.
