History
The 30s and 40s of the 20th century became the most successful for the club, the team played a lot of time in Serie A and took 7th place in 1947 . In the 50s and 60s, the club performed less successfully, having spent only 5 seasons in Serie A : 1958-61, 1963-64 and 1969-70. In 1974, the team flew into Serie C. In the late 70s, the team returned to Serie A.
The next return to Serie A in 1989 turned out to be more successful, which was facilitated by the acquisition of Giovanni Loseto , Petro Mayarro and Joao Paulo . In 1990, the team managed to take 10th place in Serie A. This was the last season spent by the team at the Della Vittoria stadium (capacity - 40 thousand people). The next season, they moved to the San Nicolas stadium .
Following the results of the 2010/11 season, Bari became the worst Serie A team and flew to Serie B. Despite the fact that the club management managed to keep several leaders and also signed a number of promising players, the Apulians were unable to compete for the exit in the 2011/12 season to the elite.
At the end of the 2017/18 season, the club was stripped of its professional status and transferred to Serie D for financial reasons [1] .
Aurelio De Laurentis , owner of the Napoli football club and the film company Filmauro, won the rights to create a club in Bari and resumed his performance in Serie D in 2018-19. In 2004, he also restored the current Napoli . The new club is named S.C. Bari, with De Laurentis announcing his intention to return him to Serie A as quickly as possible.
