Nemtsovo is a village in the Smolensk region of Russia , in the Safonovsky district . The population is 4 inhabitants ( 2007 ) [1] . It is located in the central part of the region, 23 km northeast of the city of Safonov , 3 km north of the M1 Belarus highway. 7 km south of the village is Izdeshkovo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line . It is part of the Bogdanovschinsky rural settlement.

History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in September 1941 , liberated in 1943 . [2] .
