Big Air ( eng. Big-Air - "big air", also eng. Straight Jump )

The greatest spectator interest is the type of snowboard competition called Big Air (“big flight”). For the competition is preparing a special springboard and slide with a platform for landing. The jump is carefully calculated so that it is protracted and spectacular, but at the same time the least dangerous for an athlete. Big Air is categorized as a technical freestyle. The performances of the participants are judged by the complexity of the tricks, the dynamics, the “purity” and the beauty of the performance. The final stage of the Big Air World Cup in 2007, 2008 and 2009 [3] was held in Moscow, on the square in front of the Moscow State University on the Sparrow Hills .
The world champion's Cup in the discipline of Big Air is the Crystal Globe [3] .
History
In 2015, the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee at the meeting in Lausanne ( Switzerland ) included in the program of the Winter Games big air since the Olympic Games of 2018 . [four]
