Prospekt Ivan Yakovlev is the longest street in the Leninsky district of the city of Cheboksary of the Chuvash Republic. One of its main highways [1] , along which the path of all guests of the capital of Chuvashia from the airport to the railway station and further, through Lenin Avenue, into the city center to Republic Square and Red Square , as well as to the river port on the Volga . The prospectus got its name in 1984 ; was previously part of the Kanash Highway [2] [3] .

It starts near the suburban bus and train stations in the city center and is a key transport route, directed to the south, over a length of 5 km. Further, the street passes into the Kanashskoye Highway and after 3 km merges into the Federal Highway M7 "Volga" . In 2008, in the square at the intersection of two avenues - Ivan Yakovlev and the 9th Five-Year Plants - a monument was erected to the enlightener of the Chuvash people I. Ya. Yakovlev [4] . On the avenue there is the only scientific institution of the system of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the Chuvash Republic - the Cheboksary Botanical Garden [5] [6] .

Title
The avenue got its name in honor of the Chuvash educator I. Ya. Yakovlev (formerly part of the Kanash Highway) [7] . The successors of his case are modern newspapers and magazines in the Chuvash language, many of which are located on this avenue, for example Hypar / Vesti / [8] , Tuvan Atul / Native Volga / [9] , Kapkan / Kapkan /, Tantash "/ Coev / [10] and others.

- Bust I. Ya. Yakovlev . Established in 2008 at the intersection of two avenues - Ivan Yakovlev and the 9th Five-Year Plan . The authors of the monument are O. Ksenofontov and V. Zotikov [4] .
- The pedestal "Tank T-34 " (A memorial sign to the workers of the rear during the war). It was installed on May 9, 1986 at the vocational school No. 19 (now the second building of the Cheboksary Electromechanical College) [12] .
- Memorial sign in honor of the 525th anniversary of the city of Cheboksary , at the intersection with the 9th Five-Year Avenue.
- Monument to Nikola Tesla . Installed in 2015 at the entrance to VNIIR [13] .
