Karla Marks Street ( Chuvash. Karl Marx uramĕ [1] ) is the central street of the city of Cheboksary of the Chuvash Republic. Located in the Leninsky administrative district of the city.

Along the street there are buildings of government and administrative institutions of Chuvashia and the city of Cheboksary. From the west to the street adjoins the Republic Square , one of the most beautiful in the city.
Content
Origin of title
Received her name in honor of Karl Marx (1818 - 1883) - German philosopher , sociologist , economist and public figure. The founder of the theory of class struggle , which became the basis of the communist and socialist movement throughout the world and was called " Marxism ".
The pre-revolutionary street name is Blagoveshchenskaya ( Efremovskaya ), from May 5, 1919 - Karl Marx. The beginning of the street was demolished in the 1970s.
Since May 18, 2004, part of Karl Marx Street has been renamed to Efremov Merchant Boulevard [2] [3] .
