Player Career

He began his professional career in 1971 at the Sportivo Belgrano club, which played in one of the lower Argentine divisions. The following year, he moved from there to the Colon club, which in those years was one of the middle peasants of the Argentinean major league. The young defender progressed quite quickly, and after about three years of playing for Colon, he fell into the sphere of interest of Independiente , one of the strongest clubs in Argentina of those years, where he moved in 1975. Over the next five years, Trossero, being one of the best players on the defensive line of the team, won two Nacional championships. Then, in 1980, he moved to the French Nantes , played about a year and a half in it, became the champion of France, and then returned to the Independent. Trossero took part in the national team in the 1982 World Cup , where the Argentines, who were then the current world champions, stopped at the second group stage, and in the America's Cup 1983 , where the Argentines could not leave the group. In total, Trossero spent 22 matches for the national team. In the same 1983, Enso won his third national championship title, this time it was the Metropolitan tournament. In 1984, Trossero as part of the Independiente won the Libertadores Cup , and then the Intercontinental Cup , winning the final of the last Liverpool (1: 0). The following year, 1985, Trossero left the Independiente and moved to the Mexican Toluca . In the following years, he played for Estudiantes and the Swiss Sion ; in 1989, he returned to Estudiantes for a short while, where he ended his career as a player.

Coaching career

Trossero began his career as a trainer in 1990 at Sion, where he left as a player two years before. In the 1991/92 season, his first success in this field came to him: his team became the champion of Switzerland [2] . He then coached the middle peasant of the Argentinean Examples “ Hurricane ” for two seasons, after which he headed for one season (1994/95) he headed the Estudiantes that had taken off from Examples and led him to victory in the second division. In the next few years, he coached Colon, San Martín ( San Miguel de Tucuman ), Swiss Lugano and Independiente, having not achieved much success with these teams. From August 2000 to June 2001, Trossero coached the Swiss national team . The Swiss were unable to fulfill the task - to qualify for the 2002 World Cup , taking 4th place in a group of 6 teams, and Trossero left his post before the end of the qualifying tournament. Then followed a three-year break in coaching. In 2004, Trossero became the head of one of Guatemala ’s strongest clubs, the Munisipal , and for three years in it Enso won five national championships (three apertures and two times Klausur), as well as the international Copa Interclubes UNCAF tournament . In 2007, Trossero accepted the offers of one of the strongest clubs in Saudi Arabia - Al-Shabaab , with whom he won the Saudi Champions Cup ; at the end of 2008 left his post [3] .
