THEOS was created on the basis of the Leostar-500-XO platform by EADS Astrium. Two cameras are mounted on the satellite: panchromatic, which allows you to take pictures with a maximum resolution of 2 meters with a capture bandwidth of 22 km and multispectral with a maximum resolution of 15 meters with a capture bandwidth of 90 km. Two antennas are installed on the satellite - one S-band for controlling the satellite, the other X-band for transmitting information.

The main tasks that the satellite will solve are mapping , monitoring of agricultural activities, forestry, and the coastal zone.
