Geography

The farm is located in the northern part of the Giaginsky district , between the rivers Ayrum and Kalmyzh . Located 5.5 km south of the center of the rural settlement is the village of Novy , 8 km east of the district center - the village of Giaginskaya and 38 km northeast of the city of Maykop .

The Armavir-Vesyolaya railway line runs along the northern edge of the farm and the Progress railway station operates. In parallel, the regional highway 70K-040 Belorechensk-Dondukovskaya stretches.

The area of ​​the farm is - 1.92 km 2 , which accounts for 1.45% of the total area of ​​the rural settlement.

The nearest settlements: Exemplary in the north, Red Khleborob in the northeast, Dondukovskaya in the east, Sadovy in the southeast and Giaginskaya in the west.

The village is located on the Zakuban inclined plain, in the transition from the plain to the foothill zone of the republic. Average heights in the farm are about 136 meters above sea level. The terrain consists mainly of undulating foothill plains, which have a common slope from the southwest to the northeast, with hilly mounds and hilly hills. The river valleys are indented by beams and depressions.

The hydrographic network is represented by the Ayrum and Kalmyzh rivers , merging at the northern edge of the farm. As well as the Ulka River, flowing west of the village. There are also various reservoirs of natural and artificial origin located in the floodplains of the rivers.

The climate on the farm is mild and temperate. The average annual air temperature is positive and amounts to about + 11.5 ° С. The average monthly air temperature in July reaches + 23.0 ° С. The average monthly temperature in January is about 0 ° C. The average annual rainfall is about 720 mm. Most precipitation falls from May to July.

The farm was founded in 1951, on the basis of the state farm of the same name.
