The Key of Friendship order is one of the highest awards of the Kemerovo region , established by the law of the Kemerovo region of May 19, 2003 No. 25-OZ [1] [2] .

Statute of the Order
The Key of Friendship Order is awarded to citizens for their special merits and outstanding contribution to the development of foreign economic and international relations of the Kemerovo Region and the strengthening of international relations.
Wearing rules
The order is worn on the right side of the chest, below the state awards of the Russian Federation and foreign states.
Order history
Initially, the order had three degrees. The order was made of bronze (1 degree - with gilding, 2 degree - with silvering, 3 degree - just bronze). The law provided for the possibility of making the order of gold with adornment with precious and semiprecious stones [2] .
In accordance with the current law of the Kemerovo region of January 26, 2005 "On the awards of the Kemerovo region" the order is not divided into degrees and is made of gold .
The Governor of the Kemerovo Region A. G. Tuleyev handed the first order “Key of Friendship” in 2003 to the Prime Minister of Mongolia, Nambaryn Enkhbayar [3] .

Order Description
The badge of the order is an eight-pointed gold star with faceted polished diverging rays and decorated with eight sapphires placed on its rays. The distance between the opposite ends of the star is 65 mm.
In the center of the star there is a relief image of the central part of the coat of arms of the Kemerovo region , framed by a wreath of oak leaves. The emblem is made using the technique of hot multicolor enamel. The sign below is edged with a ribbon with the inscription "Key of friendship. Kuzbass . "
Vertically in the center of the star against the background of an oak wreath the ends of a stylized key are depicted (the key symbolizes the opening of the underground pantries of Kuzbass). The key is decorated with two faceted diamonds .
On the back of the order are the order number and a device for attaching to clothes.
