Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram ( eng. Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram ) is a popular Hindu bhajan , glorifying Ram and Sita . It is believed that this is a reworking of the mantra of the seventeenth-century holy Ramdas by Vishnu Digambar Palushkar . Mahatma Gandhi and his followers sang this song during their Salt Campaign . [1] [2] In bhajana there is a line “no matter how your name sounds - God or Allah ”, which emphasizes the unity of the supreme deity, regardless of religion. “Raghupati” is performed by many musicians in different arrangements. Ananda Shankar performs this bhajan in modern processing on his album “ Snowflower ”.
