Campanella - the common name of the 3rd sketch (1851, Weimar, Germany) by Franz Liszt , is a piano transcription of the same violin piece by Niccolo Paganini .
Liszt has 6 sketches written on Paganini themes. His third study was written on the theme of the finale of the second violin concerto of Paganini. This finale for its sound, reminiscent of the gentle sounds of bells, Paganini called "Campanella" ( Italian campanella - "bell").
