History
After the first success with the release of McKenzie & Co , HeR Interactive became an independent company.
American Laser Games continued to function until the end of the 1990s. At that time, the Her Interactive division, under which it launched the release of “games for girls” for the IBM PC, led to financial difficulties and the closure of the company. Shortly before closing, Her Interactive, Inc. acquired American Laser Games .
In 2000, all rights to American Laser Games were sold to HeR Interactive from Digital Leisure, Inc. Many of the games have been reprinted by this company for the IBM PC and DVD players .
Already in 1998, the company Her Interactive, Inc. produces the first game under the brand Nancy Drew , the release of which is engaged to this day.
The game " Nancy Drew: Secrets Can Kill " left a tremendous mark in the history of this company and began many of its favorite series of games about the young syschitsu. Publisher of the first five games involved the company DreamCatcher Interactive . The idea to choose such an immaculate main character brought Her Interactive, Inc incredible popularity, as she likes so many.
More games are made from books by writer Caroline Keane . The game " Nancy Drew: Secrets Can Kill " was made by the book of the same name, but the game " Nancy Drew: Sea of Darkness " was invented exclusively by the developers.
In 2010, the first Shadow Ranch game for iOS was announced. The game was released in the form of a book created from a game with a slightly different name, " Nancy Drew: The Secret of Shadow Ranch ". Due to the failure of the game, HeR Interactive turned down a project to create a similar game called “Castle Finster”.
In 2012, Her Interactive launches the next project. Full adaptation of the game " Nancy Drew: Tomb of the Lost Queen " for mobile platforms iOS and Android . HeR Interactive opened an ad campaign to raise funds for Kickstarter , and in order to be supported they launch powerful marketing and call for help. Funds could not be collected and the project was minimized, not being realized.
HeR Interactive at the end of 2013 made a hint at the release of the game “ Nancy Drew: Ghost of Thornton Hall ” for iPad , Amazon Kindle Fire and Android tablets.
On May 25, 2011, Megan Geyser postponed her duties as CEO of HeR Interactive, Inc. and became a creative director, having learned that she decided to focus more on creating games than solving the company's external and internal affairs. In her place, the general director was appointed by Stuart Mulder. In 2013, Megan Geyser leaves the company altogether. This is stated in one of the press releases entitled "Megan Geyser takes the next step."
September 3, 2014 it became known that the CEO is changing in the company. Penny Milliken, a member of the board of directors of the company since 2003, is coming to a new position, as mentioned in one of the official press releases.
