Biography
- 1980s - He graduated from a music school in piano, then studied for three years at the Barnaul Music College in flute class.
- 1988 - Takes part in the creation of the Sister group in collaboration with Maxim Omelchenko, Dmitry Karpov, Vadim Kovalev and Vitaliy Kovalenko.
- 1989 - Debut performance as part of the Sister band at the Rock Peripheral Festival ( Slavgorod ).
- 1991 - Recording of the album "Ballads by candlelight" as part of the group "Sister".
- 1998 - The debut solo album Carousel is released.
- 1999 - The first album of Konstantin in the genre of sacred music - “Passion for Job” is released.
- The end of the 1990s - the Ensemble of Sacred Music of Konstantin Zhigulin “Medicina mentis” was formed.
- 2000 - project “Se'strannik” with musicians Andrei Zayats (guitar), Andrei Sklyarov (bass), Alexei Popov (percussion) [1] .
- In 2005, Konstantin moved to St. Petersburg, where he updated his creative teams. The performances of a new project called “Zhigulin and Co.” begin. The ensemble of sacred music "Psalm" was formed.
- In 2006, K. Zhigulin became the owner of the Grand Prix of the festival of author's music in St. Petersburg organized by the group "The Wintering of Animals" and is recording the album "Snow and Fiction".
- 2006 - The Psalm Ensemble of Sacred Music gives its first concerts in the USA (Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Alabama). From this time, constant performances in America begin.
- 2009 - The album “Day” was recorded.
- 2012 - The album "Shepherd's Songs" was recorded.
- 2014 - Filming of the video for the song “Under the Voice” (from the album “Shepherd's Songs”).
- 2015 - Zhigulin and Co. take part in the Prima Vista 2015 literary festival in Tartu, Estonia. Work has begun on recording a new album Zhigulin and Co. The first European tour of the Psalm Ensemble of Sacred Music took place, in the framework of which there were performances in Germany (Cologne, Rottenburg ob der Tauber) and the Netherlands (Eindhoven).
- 2016 - The album “Live” was recorded. The album was recorded in collaboration with Luca Genta, a musician from Holland.
- 2017 - The ensemble “Psalm” participates in the international festival of choral music “Mundus Cantat” (Sopot, Poland), where it becomes the owner of a silver diploma.
