Hod el-Garbi ( Arabic: الحوض الغربي , FR. Hodh El Gharbi ) is a region in the south of Mauritania .

Geography
In the east it borders on the Khod-esh-Sharki region , in the north with the Takant region, in the west with the Assaba region, in the south with Mali .
