Rabat-Sale-Zammur-Zaer ( Arabic: الرباط سلا زمور زعير ) is one of the sixteen regions of Morocco . Located in the northwest of the country. The territory is 9,580 km² with a population of 2,366,494 people (2004 census). The administrative center is the city of Rabat .
