Biography

Anatoly Praudin was born on April 24, 1961 in the city of Riga , in a theatrical family. His parents - People's Artist of the Latvian and Ukrainian SSR , Chief Director of the Riga Russian Drama Theater Arkady Katz and People's Artist of the Latvian SSR Raina Proudina - died 02/01/2019 .. Grandmother - actress Elvira Kronberg , grandfather - Honored Artist of the Chuvash ASSR and Honored Artist of the Latvian SSR , theater director Boris Praudin [1] .

In 1986 he graduated from the directing department of the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography. N.K. Cherkasov (workshop of Alexander Muzil ) [1] [2] .

He worked in the Vladimir Drama Theater , Sverdlovsk Youth Theater . He staged performances in theaters of Riga, Odessa , Chelyabinsk , Omsk, Amsterdam , Saratov , St. Petersburg [1] .

In June 1996 he became the artistic director of the St. Petersburg Youth Theater named after Bryantsev [1] .

In June 1998, he was removed from the post of artistic director of the Youth Theater and, together with part of the troupe, created his own "Experimental Stage" under the roof of the Baltic House Theater [1] .

Since 2008, she has been teaching at the Russian State Institute for State-owned Information Technologies (former SPbGATI). In 2013, he released an acting and directing course, which was founded by the TSEKh Theater, in 2018 - a directing course.

Anatoly Praudin candidate for master of sports in judo , champion of the Latvian SSR in sambo in 1976 [3] .
