He graduated from the humanitarian class of the Moscow public school number 57 (classmate of Artemy Lebedev , Georgy Starostin and Egor Kholmogorov ) ^[1] and the philological faculty of Moscow State University . In 2000 he defended his thesis “Synchrony and Diachrony in Verbal Systems of Yenisei Languages” for the degree of Candidate of Philological Sciences (supervisor A. V. Dybo ; official opponents V. A. Plungyan and S. A. Burlak ) ^[2] , employee Department of the Ural and Altaic Languages ​​of the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences , an expert on the history of languages ​​of the Ural family and Ket language . He also acted as a journalist, was a cultural columnist for the newspaper Gazeta .

He made his debut in print with verses in 1995 (under the real name). The early poetry of Kirill Reshetnikov directly inherited the traditions of Nikolai Klyuev and Mikhail Kuzmin in imposing two pagan mythologies on each other: ancient Greek and ancient Russian (in Reshetnikov, also of ancient Siberian thanks to his professional Ket language and Ket culture):

To rule you, hunting sins,

And remove Perun from the river -

There was a thunder of horseshoes devoid of, and a cloud - strong axes,

And remembering the gleam of the gleaming tog,

Inside the quiver lived Sminfeev claw,

There was a slanting brook in the dome,

- here, to antiquity, not only togas and Cinfey (one of the names of the god Apollo ) are sent, but also a meter of poems resembling the ancient Greek logaeda .

However, at the turn of the 1990–2000s, a turning point occurred in Reshetnikov’s work, and he began to perform under the pseudonym Shish Bryansky. At first glance, Reshetnikov's new texts seem to be purely shocking : they often use obscene lexicon , important cultural authorities are subjected to direct or indirect ridicule ( Anna Akhmatova , David Samoilov , Alexander Solzhenitsyn , etc.). In fact, the new verses of Reshetnikov are much more successive in relation to the former than they might seem. The reproach of shrines and authorities is interpreted in Reshetnikov's poetry as an indispensable attribute of carnival culture, which was nothing more than a form of the existence of paganism within the Christian tradition. Shish Bryansky Russian mate erects the pagan roots: so, in the lines “The fire devoured me, Perun chmoril me // And the winter sun fucked me” reflected the ancient pagan idea of ​​the sun as fertilizing the male principle .

Poems Shisha Bryansky first published in 2000 . In the same year, Kirill Reshetnikov became the first winner of the newly established Debut Prize , awarded to him for texts of both periods.

Kirill Reshetnikov also composes songs under the name Shisha Bryansky. In particular, there is an unofficial album of his songs “Lomonosov” (1998) recorded at home. The album contains songs by Shish, mostly performed by Psoy Korolenko , some are by the author.

The melodies and lyrics of Shish Bryansky's songs are characterized by a combination of stylized-chanson and romance elements with shamanic, trance folkloric intonations. Specific melodious losses are also characteristic (the author prefers to call them “plays”), a kind of choruses without words.

Since the early songs of Shisha Bryansky were often performed by Psoy Korolenko, an erroneous view was spread that they were written by Psoy on Shish's verses . In fact, Kirill Reshetnikov himself writes both lyrics and melodies for all his songs, and also takes an active part in their arrangements.
