Content
History
The Entomological Society of Canada was created in Toronto on April 16, 1863. The first Council of the Society consisted of President Henry Holmes Croft (1820–1883), Executive Secretary William Saunders (1836–1914) and Curator J. Hubbert. Initially, the Society had another name - Entomological Society of Ontario, which still exists as a provincial entomological society. In 1950, this society adopted its modern name and relocated to Ottawa .
