Volkswagen Golf V - a car of the German company Volkswagen . Created on the Volkswagen Group A5 (PQ35) platform . It was first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in October 2003, a month later went on sale. In the fall of 2003, he replaced the Volkswagen Golf IV ; his successor, the Volkswagen Golf VI , appeared in 2008.

Model Features
The PQ35 platform has already formed the basis of the Audi A3 Typ 8P and Volkswagen Touran . This model is available with six gasoline engines (4-, 5-, 6-cylinder) and three diesel engines.
Types of gearboxes: manual, automatic, Tiptronic , S-tronic. The chassis combines MacPherson strut struts and a four-link rear suspension. The rigidity of the body increased by 80% [1] .
The car received a 5-star rating in Euro NCAP [2] .
