The third-generation car, Zafira Tourer [3] , was presented as a concept car in 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show . It was announced that when the Zafira Tourer C goes on sale, the Zafira B will be sold as a smaller and cheaper option, and the larger Zafira Tourer C will compete with the Ford S-Max [4] . The release of the hybrid and / or electric version took place in 2012.

The serial version was presented in September 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and went on sale at the end of 2011 [5] .

A car version equipped with gas equipment was shown in December 2011. The engine of this model allows the use of two types of fuel: compressed natural gas (CNG) and gasoline . One refueling of liquefied gas is enough for 530 kilometers, and a 14-liter gas tank allows you to get to the next gas refueling station [6] .

In 2009, large-assembly cars for the Russian market began at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad [7] .

At the end of 2015, sales of Opel cars in Russia were discontinued.

In 2016, the car was restyled. There is a new front and rear bumpers and interior in accordance with the Opel Astra K. [eight]

In June 2018, the production of right-hand drive versions of the model under the Vauxhall brand for the UK market was discontinued [9] . The release of other versions continues, but the fate of the future model remains in question.
