Biography
Cam Gigandet was born in Tacoma , WA on August 16, 1982. His father, Jay, co-owner and manager of the small chain of restaurants The Rock, Wood Fired Pizza & Spirits in the northwestern United States [4] [5] , his mother, Kimberly, is a housewife, and Kelsey's older sister is a stylist [6] .
Cam’s childhood passed in the town of Auburn, where in 2001, after graduating from high school, he moved to California and entered the Santa Monica Community College, where he began to study acting [4] .
He made his debut on television in the third season of the popular television series " CSI: Crime Scene " (2000-2009), in an episodic role. At the initial stage of his career, he got roles in three more television series: Young and the Bold (1973-2009), Lonely Hearts (2003-2007) and Jack and Bobby (2004-2005).
In 2004, he played the main role in the short film Mistaken, after which he disappeared from the cinema horizons for several years. He returned to the big movie in 2007, playing a minor role in the comedy “Who's Your Caddy?”. Then there was a much more prominent role in the youth sports drama “ Never Give Up ” (2008), and then a secondary role in the mystical film “ Twilight ” (2008), which was a great success around the world.
In 2010, he starred in the movie Burlesque along with Christina Aguilera , Eric Dane and Cher . The film “ Shepherd ” was soon released, where Cam Gigandet starred in one of the main roles.
Personal life
On April 14, 2009, Gigandet and his bride, Dominic Geisendorff, had their first child - the daughter of Everleigh Ray Gigandet [7] . January 23, 2013 the actor had a son. The boy was named Rekker Radley Gigandet [8] . On November 30, 2015, the couple had a third child - the daughter of Armie Heartly Gigandet [9] .
According to one interview, Cam has some martial arts skills [10] :
“For about a year I attended classes in Krav Maga and studied, I think, this does not count. I gained basic fighting skills when I was a child. I practiced karate, mainly for self-defense, but after a couple of months I quit. The most intensive training was required for the filming of the movie “Never Give Up,” for which I spent about six months of continuous training in MMA . This film gave me a good and solid foundation to try to learn something new. ”
