Content

Geography

The distance to Cheboksary is 119 km, to the district center 4 km, to the railway station 35 km [3] . The village is located in the basins of the Khundurla River and its tributary Chacanta [4] . The village is located a few kilometers west of the federal highway A151 Tsivilsk - Ulyanovsk , along the republican 97K-019 Kalinino - Batyrevo - Yalchiki common road - Pochinok-Ineli - the border of the Republic of Tatarstan [5] .

Territorial administration

History

The village was founded by settlers from the Kazan County in the 17th century. It originated as a settlement of service Tatars [3] .

In 1729, a lawsuit arose between the villages of Yamashevo Charbushi, the identity of Cheboksary district and Urmaevo Kazan district for arable land [6] .

When the mosque opened in the second half of the XVII century, the mekteb school functioned. In 1931 the Yang Turmysh collective farm was formed [3] .

Title

The name is anthroponym : on behalf of Urmai [7] .

The inhabitants are Tatars, in 1724–1866 state peasants ; engaged in farming , animal husbandry , tailoring, brick, sheepskin and furring, carpentry , logging , and doing lashmannuyu service until the 1830s [3] .

According to the 2002 All-Russian Population Census, the numerically dominant nationality is the Tatars (85%) [10] .

  • The central mosque (2nd half of the 17th century - 1939, since 1990) [3] with two minarets , now bears the name of the first imam Rakhimullah Hazrat [12] .
  • The Mountain Mosque (Taubashy, 2005) [3] [13]
  • “Kara Pulat” mosque (2010 [3] , according to other sources - 2012 [14] ), since 2013 it has been the congregation of the Urfayev muhtasibat of the Muftiat of Chuvashia [14] .

Monuments and memorials

  • Monument in honor of the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. (Bauman St., 3) [15] .

Others

  • At the building of the House of Culture, it is planned to install a monument to the letter “ c ”, as a symbol of the local, “thundering” dialect of the Mishar dialect of the Tatar language [16] .
