In 1942 he won the Naumburgov competition of young performers . He played in the NBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Arturo Toscanini [1] . In 1948 , he bought from Ephraim Zimbalist a Stradivarius violin, which once belonged to Charles Lamouraux [2] , which in the 1970s. was stolen from him, after which, in his own words,
I have no more desire to play any other instrument. She became a part of me, and I became a part of me [3] .
Simultaneously with the 1950s. Sarser was engaged in sound engineering, working as a sound engineer at the Metropolitan Opera . He actively participated in the experiments of Les Paul with a multi-track recording [4] .
