Biography

She began her musical career with the role of Mary Magdalene in the French version of the musical “ Jesus Christ is a Superstar ”. In 1972 she participated in the French national selection for Eurovision, but did not pass it. Representing Luxembourg , she won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1973, performing the song “Tu te reconnaîtras”. After winning the competition, she lived in Turkey , having recorded an album there and received several music awards.

Again participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 1979 , this time representing France with the song "Je suis l'enfant soleil", and took third place. Thus, she belongs to a narrow circle of performers representing two different states at the Eurovision Song Contest.

In 1982-83, she continued her musical career in Norway , however, she soon left the stage, choosing a hermit lifestyle in one of the French villages. Occasionally reappears on stage: in 2005 during the television show Congratulations , dedicated to the half-century anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest; in 2015 during a television show in London dedicated to the sixtieth anniversary of the contest.
