Since 1983, he was engaged in hockey at the Siberian school (in the year when the team entered the big leagues). First coach - Valery Studenkov.

In 17 years, appeared in the main part of the "adult" "Siberia". Since February 1993, he has moved, together with his first coach and five partners in the junior Siberia ( Yevgeny Shaldybin , Yevgeny Tarasov) to Yaroslavl .

First, he spent the season in the farm club Yarinterkom, and on October 24, 1994, he made his debut in the first team of Torpedo in the away match against St. Petersburg SKA (1: 3).

The record holder of Yaroslavl “Lokomotiv” in the number of games played for the club - 912 matches, as well as games in the playoffs - 162 matches [1] . He shares first place with Dmitry Krasotkin by the number of seasons spent for the club - he played for Lokomotiv for 17 years in a row, gaining 105 (23 + 82) points in it.
