Biography
Pedro Paulo Teles Marcelino was born on August 15, 1945 in the city of Pedro Leopoldo , Minas Gerais .
Pedro Paulo began his career in the amateur club "SOCIAL Olimpico Ferroviario" ( port. Social Olímpico Ferroviário ).
In 1963, Pedro Paulo joined the youth team of the Cruzeiro club. In the adult team, Pedro Paulo made his debut on June 18, 1964 . Two years later, Cruzeiro won the Brazilian championship, breaking the 5-year hegemony of Santos , and, in addition, became the champion of the state of Minas Gerais 7 times.
On May 21, 1972, in a derby with Atletico Mineiro , Pedro Paulo suffered a severe injury, from which he was treated for 4 months and took shape for a while. In 1973, the right midfielder Nelinho came to Cruzeiro, who drove Pedro Paulo out of the squad. In February 1974, Pedro Paulo left the team. In total for “Cruzeiro” Pedro Paulo spent 405 matches, scored 4 goals.
After leaving Cruzeiro, Pedro Paulo played for the teams Atletico Paranaense , Paysandu , Uniao Bandeirantes , Ecuadorian Emelek , Vitoria and Santa Cruz , without stopping anywhere for long.
In the Brazilian national team, Pedro Paulo made his debut on August 11, 1968 in a friendly match with the Argentine national team , the Brazilians won with a score of 3: 2. More for the team Pedro Paulo did not play.
After finishing his career as a football player, Pedro Paulo worked as a youth coach in Seti di Setembra from 1984 to 1989 .
On December 25, 2007, Pedro Paulo was hospitalized at Joao XXIII Hospital in Belo Horizonte , where he died of a stroke two months later. He was buried in the cemetery of Semiteriu de Saudad .
